Refund policy

Refund policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

1. Your Consumer Rights

Wonderful Books respects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

For a major failure, you may choose a refund or replacement. For a minor problem, we may initially provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time. Other remedies may be available if the problem is not resolved.

These rights apply independently of any voluntary return policy. Sale items and digital products are not automatically excluded from applicable consumer protections.

2. Change-of-Mind Purchases

We do not offer a general change-of-mind return or exchange service for paperbacks or eBooks. Please review the title, edition and format carefully before purchasing.

This policy does not affect rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed products.

3. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Paperbacks

If your book arrives damaged, has a printing or binding defect, or is different from the item ordered, contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Provide your order number, a description of the issue and photographs where helpful. We may assess the problem before arranging a remedy.

Original packaging is not required to exercise statutory rights. We may request reasonable proof of purchase.

4. eBook Problems

Contact us if an eBook is not delivered, the supplied file is corrupted, or it does not match its description or stated compatibility requirements.

We will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy. Accessing or downloading an eBook does not remove rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

Please check the stated file format and device requirements before ordering.

5. Requesting a Return

Email sbarry.smith@wonderbookscompany.com with:

  • Your order number or other proof of purchase.
  • The title and format purchased.
  • A description of the problem.
  • Relevant photographs or error details, where available.

Please contact us before posting the item so we can provide return instructions. This request helps us coordinate the return and does not limit your statutory rights.

6. Return Shipping

For a confirmed product fault or an error on our part, we will cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

We will explain the return arrangements before you send the book. Keep your postage receipt if reimbursement is required.

7. Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved, we will process it without unreasonable delay, normally through the original payment method.

Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available. Where applicable law requires delivery charges to be refunded, we will include them in the refund.

Contact us if an approved refund has not appeared after your payment provider’s advised processing period.

8. Cancellations and Order Changes

Contact us promptly to request a cancellation or change. We will check whether the order has been dispatched or digital access has been supplied.

We cannot guarantee that a change-of-mind cancellation can be accommodated after fulfilment. Your rights concerning non-delivery, faults or other legally recognised issues remain unaffected.
